Born in New Jersey, raised in the tropical airs of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Always a city kid Rebecca started her path into fashion very young. Studying under Lisa Thon’s fashion school since she was in high school. Following her passion in fashion she received a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design with a minor in Graphic Arts from “Universidad de Artes Plásticas” in Old San Juan. Knowing from very young that she wanted to work in film, particularly in the costumes department, she headed to New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and receive a “Costumes Technician” certification.
As soon as she graduated university she landed her first feature film and has not stopped since. Working in the film industry for more than a decade she has worked along side the best Actors (Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, Sandra Bullock, Keanu Reeves- among others) and Costume Designers like Graciela Mazón (From Dusk till Dawn, The Mask of Zorro, Nacho Libre) Jenny Eagan (Knives Out, True Detective S1) Colin Wilkes (Palm Springs, Big Door Prize) among others. Her work spans from feature films to tv series. (Networks such as: Netflix, ABC, FOX, Peacock among many great indie films)
Usually Costume Supervising or Key positions have led her to fall in love with character building and in the last years Costume Designing her own projects. Another passion is the amazing world of aging & dyeing character closets to resemble post apocalyptic times and/or many other situations. Trying to incorporate natural dye products any way she can.
Creating and defining a characters trajectory thru their costumes is one of her greatest passions while collaborating with all departments to reach a harmony that works perfectly on screen. She aspires to keep creating in the film/tv industry and to continue creating Puerto Rican cinema for many more years.
